Deborah Weichbrodt, LVT
Deborah graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Pierce College in Washington State in 1988. She joined our practice in October 1999 as a full time Animal Health Technologist and has a special interest for dental procedures and patient care. Deborah shares her home with her two cats "Scooter and Oatmeal"; both were strays and her dog "Mona". Scooter was found on Washington States I-5 and as for Oatmeal; he climbed in the window one February night and never left. Mona is a Norwich terrier who is a wonderful little dog, even if the cats refuse to obey her every command. Deborah also enjoys reading, tending to her tropical fish and is an enthusiastic cyclist.
Claudine Hennessey, Animal Health Technician
Claudine joined our staff in February of 2011 and is quite proud (and happy) to say she absolutely loves her job as Animal Health Technician. She has been working in the small animal veterinary field since 1992. Claudine's canine 'fur family' includes Albert (a Labrador mix) and Rory (a Papillon). Rory definitely runs the house even though he is only 10lb. She also has three amazing kitties: Bartholomew (a long-furred pale orange fellow), Gilbert (a short-furred dark orange dude) and Edgar Kermit (a short-haired grey and white man with incredibly green eyes). Claudine enjoys hiking with her family and also spends time fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society-specifically for Camp Goodtimes.
Kirsten Scheelar, Veterinary Technician
Kirsten joined our team in 2008 shortly after completing the Douglas College Veterinary Office and Animal Care Program. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Douglas College in 2013 as well. She has become a valuable member of our health care team both in the capacity of veterinary technician and her role as our pet nutritional consultant. If you have an overweight pet, she is the one to speak to regarding different veterinary diets that could help your pet lead a longer, healthier life. When not at work Kirsten enjoys going for walks with her two dogs, Montana and Sandy. She also has a little kitty named Gabby who she adopted from the Delta Animal Shelter. Kirsten's after work passions are shoe shopping and camping,

Jennine Brennan, Veterinary Assistant
Jennine joined our team in 2005. She enjoys dealing directly with our clients regarding health concerns of their pets. Jennine has three pets, Patty (yorkie cross) Hope (lab cross) and Stitch (domestic short hair). In her spare time Jennine enjoys hiking and camping with her family and friends.
Jenais Reimer, Veterinary Assistant
Jenais started volunteering here in February 2015. She was recently hired as a Veterinary Assistant and is looking forward to beginning the Veterinary Technician program in the near future. Jenais has a dog Lexi (yorkie). In her free time Jenais enjoys watching movies.
Nikki Abbey, Receptionist
Nikki joined our team in September 2002 after completing the Veterinary Assistant/Reception program at West Coast College. Among all the duties of a full time receptionist, Nikki particularly enjoys the interacting with the clients and their pets and getting to know them over the years. Nikki spends her spare time with her husband Jon, her dog Asia (Pit Bull) and her cat Oskar. Aside from spending time with her pets, she also likes to read and do crafts (scrap booking, painting, drawing etc.)
Valerie Marinescu, Receptionist
Valerie joined our team in July 2003 as a full time receptionist. Valerie moved to BC from Nova Scotia with a brief stay in Ontario (20 years) and now resides in Delta. When not at work Valerie enjoys going to movies, hanging out with her Mom and spending numerous hours with her German Shepherd "Apollo".
